"How's Your Relationship?"

Perhaps you have a reflexive answer to this "Oh, things are fine", Or, maybe you are more specific "My partner is great but I wish that they would remember that they can look through the refrigerator for the ketchup before they ask me where it is".

When was the last time you and your partner(s) sat down (without distractions) and talked about how things are going between you?

Too often, people avoid this conversation. The reasons for this are numerous... It can be a scary and vulnerable topic, time is a precious resource, immediate needs require immediate attention, and/or "why fix something that isn't broken".

Would you let your car go without an oil change until it breaks down? Would you wait until your roof caves in before you contact someone for support? Would you wait until your doctor discloses a serious medical condition before making the changes you know could support overall well being?

Unfortunately, relationships often get put on the back burner.... until (or after) there is a crisis. Why are we waiting until one person threatens divorce/separation before deciding to prioritize healthy change?

Too often, folks enter therapy after things have gone off the rails for some time.

Someone has violated agreements related to fidelity or shared values. You've been living like roommates for years and feel miserable every evening. There was a crisis that sucked up all the oxygen in relationship, and now you are blue in the face, staring at each other, and wondering what happened, unable to speak.

Couples therapy is an opportunity to come in for a tune up. Its a deep cleaning, a new roof (or maybe new shingles), a replacement "belt" on the engine of your relationship.

We will start with an intro call, a space for you both to check in about your goals and how the process of therapy can support you in achieving these goals. During this call we explore barriers you've encountered as well as ways that the process of therapy (or coaching) can support you in overcoming these barriers.

The intro call will provide a path to a Plan of Action.

Perhaps this plan focuses on barriers to intimacy and ways of increasing intimacy in relationship. Maybe our plan supports a couple in having more clear communication and ways of engaging with healthy conflict (so we work on skill building and changing patterns of interaction that are no longer serving us). Possibly, we are navigating new relationship agreements, or changing how we think about these agreements (e.g. exploring non monogamy, changing existing relational structures).

Your relationship is a canvas, you get to create what you desire...

Light Mind Wellness is here to help you create a work of art- something you love and can be proud of. A relationship you "show off" to friends and family.

We begin with an intro call.

The intro call will give us a picture of the "state of the relationship", strategies for creating the change you desire, and a plan for action.

The plan for action is our roadmap. This plan will support you and your partner(s) in implementing new skills and tools, identifying barriers, and finding ways of overcoming these barriers.

Whether you are here for a relational "oil change" or you need a "whole new roof", Light Mind Wellness is here to help. Set up an intro call, have the conversation you've been avoiding, and create a plan to cultivate the type of relationship you desire.

The effort you've put into building and maintaining this relationship is valuable, You're not going to sell your car just because you need an oil change.

Let's help you create the relationship of your dreams, something strong, stable and secure. The first step is just to set up a time to chat.

Schedule your free consultation call and see how Light Mind Wellness can help you and your relationship thrive.

Looking forward to connecting with you and helping you cultivate the relationship you've always dreamed of. <3
